My name is Emily and I am a senior at Marist College. As a lover of food, I am quite a fan of the Valley Café.
The Valley Café began my freshman year and has always been a part of my Marist experience, so I can’t help but feel a bit of a connection with it. I also love what the event stands for in advocating local sourcing and the exciting themes it represents. I have witnessed Chef Anthony, Dining Services and Student Affairs put their passion into each luncheon and I am always pleased to see the crowd enjoy their meal.
I am here to tell the story of each plate at the Valley Café–where in the region it came from, who played a part in its growth, how it got to the kitchen at Marist and how its theme is an educational opportunity.
